Sinnissippi Park Erosion Repairs Rebid

This project's goal is to address erosion within multiple areas of Sinnissippi Park, the Sinnissippi Perennial Garden, and along the Rock River shoreline that abuts Sinnissippi Riverfront Park. Work scope includes selective demolition, tree and vegetation removals, black locust tree salvage, site grading and earthwork, rip-rap placement, storm water drainage infrastructure installation, weir structure construction, fencing work, native plant installation and stewardship, site restoration and erosion control. The bid includes two separate packages. Contract(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder for each of two Bid Packages. One or two contracts may be awarded. Grant funding for this project provided from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, an overall Business Enterprise Program (BEP) utilization goal of 25% has been determined with 20% of the grant dollars going to minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs) and 5% of the grant dollars going to women-owned business enterprises (WBEs). The individual MBE/WBE utilization goals are based on the availability of certified vendors to perform the anticipated direct subcontracting opportunities of the Utilization Plan (UP).
