I-670 Deck- City of Kansas City

Proposed plans for a deck over a part of Interstate 670 that cuts through Downtown between the Central Business District and the Crossroads Arts District. The plan calls for covering four blocks of the South Loop from Wyandotte Street to Grand Boulevard. It is envisioned as a park with a terrace, playground, pavilion, dog park and several flexible lawn areas. As of July 28, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. Information regarding design team and contractor selection has not been disclosed.
