Leak Detection Surveys at NH Community Water Systems

Scope of Work The work will consist of performing acoustic listening surveys on the distribution systems of the water systems selected from the list in Appendix A, as well as coordinating with those systems to schedule the surveys and meet with system personnel as needed. Because the scope of work is extensive, proposals for portions of the survey work will be accepted, and multiple contractors may be hired. The surveys shall be conducted in accordance with the "Manual of Water Supply Practices, Water Audits and Loss Control Programs" document identification number AWWA M36, American Water Works Association, 2016. Surveys must be performed in two phases: an initial screening of the area to identify suspected leaks followed by a pinpointing phase to locate the suspected leaks. A detailed report of the findings must be filed with NHDES and the water system at the conclusion of each survey. It will be the responsibility of the water system to repair any leaks found.
