Description | This General Construction project involves construction of a concrete thrust block below stream grade and providing additional support to Pier 6 through a system of underground strut and distribution beam. The thrust block will be supported on a series of micropiles. This project will stabilize Pier 6 and Arch 5, while not limiting future extension of the towpath across the Schoharie River at the Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site. Contractor shall physically complete Work of the Contract within Three Hundred (300) days after the Agreement is approved by the New York State Comptrollers Office. CR Number: 2088720 Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of: General Construction Contract D005936 $54,725.00 Fifty-four Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty-Five and 00/100 Dollars General Construction Aqueduct Stabilization; Refer to Section 01 1000 Summary of the Work Engineers Estimated Range: $943,500.00 - $1,276,500.00 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 11% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 4% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Contract term: 300 Days after contract approved by the NYS Comptrollers office. Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to Article 14.10 of the General Conditions). $1,000.00 per Calendar Day The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond/Payment Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract.
