Description

Furnish all materials, equipment; perform all labor and operations per the specifications and drawings provided by Lien & Peterson Architects Inc. Contractor to obtain any necessary permits unless noted in the specifications. Minimum 1-year warranty. Contractor to complete project as listed. Upon commencement of the work, the contractor is to finish the project and not pull off the job. Contractors will be responsible to provide their own dumpster if needed, or haul refuse offsite. Elevators to be protected from damage by transport of equipment, staff, and miscellaneous materials. County will provide electricity for contactor. Working hoursshall be Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Noisy work must be completed before 8:30 AM or after 4:30 PM. Coordinate all work with the facilities director. We require a five (5) day notice prior to the first workday Eau Claire County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities in any bid or part thereof deemed to be in the best interest of Eau Claire County INTRODUCTION: Eau Claire County is requesting bids to remodel the District Attorney offices located at the Government Center, 721 Oxford Avenue, Eau Claire WI. Deadline for Questions & Approval of Alternates - October 27, 2022 11:59 PM o Email questions to Purchasing@eauclairecounty.gov Wage Rates: Davis-Bacon Act wage rates apply as outlined in Section 1.13(2). A bid bond is required. This bid bond can be a 5% certified check or a typical 5% bid bond from an insurance company. Certified checks will be returned after the award process. All projects estimated to cost over $50,000 will require a 100% Performance Bond be attained by the selected contractor. Copies of the bid bond or certified check are allowed with your DemandStar e-bid submission however the actual document must be sent via mail and postmarked no later than one (1) day after the bid opening. Award of the project will not be made until the hard copies of the documents have been received. Invoices will not be approved for payment until services are completed per specifications as determined by the County. Completion date - January 31, 2023 In the event the Contractor, without excuse, fails to achieve Substantial Completion within the Contract Time, the Contractor shall pay to the Owner as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each and every calendar day following the end of the Contractor Time until Substantial Completion is achieved. However, the Contractor shall not be liable for liquidated damages for a day, or days, of excusable delay occurring during such period following the end of the Contract Time.
