Description | When applicable, the contractor must comply with prevailing wage laws on City construction and development projects. For contracts greater than or equal to $50,000, contractors and subcontractors may be required to submit Certified Payroll Reports, via any software systems specified by MDCR. The City reserves the sole and exclusive right, in accordance with all applicable law, to reject all or any part of any bid, waive informalities, defects, irregularities, variances, technicalities, and award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) to best serve the interest of MPRB. Informality shall mean a minor defect or variation of a bid from the exact requirements of the specifications which does not affect the price, quality, quantity, or delivery schedule for the goods, services or construction being procured. Contractor must possess a current Minneapolis Tree Service business license at all times throughout the term of this agreement in order to perform tree removal work. Submit a copy of your Minneapolis Tree Services License with your bid. This requirement does not apply to stump-grinding that does not include tree removal Contractor must employ one or more Certified Arborists4 (CA) on a full-time basis throughout the duration of this agreement. Submit evidence that you meet this requirement. Contractors who employ multiple CAs need only submit one certificate. This requirement does not apply to stump-grinding that does not include tree removal Contractors who provide stump grinding without tree removal must meet the license, certification and registration requirements of their local jurisdiction, but are not required to obtain a Tree Services License or employ a Certified Arborist. A tree removal on private property is assigned when a property owner requests an MPRB contractor to remove a condemned tree, or they fail to act to remove a tree within specified time limits. Tree removal shall include topping and other operations necessary in removing assigned trees to ground level. It shall further include hauling and disposing of all wood and debris, peeling the bark to the ground of any remaining elm stumps that are higher than 4”and peeling the bark to the ground or girdling any remaining ash stumps higher than 12”. The contractor is responsible for disposal of debris removal, and related costs, in compliance with all state and local regulations. |
