Description | As of March 31, 2023. The project has been awarded with the amount of $41,731.11. Old Altama Elementary School Phase 1 Demolition and Asbestos Abatement The work will consist of Phase 1 Demolition work which includes Selective Demolition to: 1. Remove ceiling tile and cabinets to expose areas to identify materials suspected of containing asbestos; 2. Sampling and testing materials to determine if asbestos materials are present and: 3. Removing all asbestos materials inside and outside the building. Previous sampling has identified 9x9 vinyl asbestos floor tile, asbestos containing pipe insulation and exterior asbestos panels installed into window systems. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate accompanied by a Bid Bond not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Proposal. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after time has been called on the date of the opening. If proposal is $100,000.00 or more both a Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities and formalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner will evaluate each proposal and make a final rating of the evaluation factors and make a contract award decision prior to disclosing the contents of the proposals.
