Road Reconstruction Along Edgar Street, Pinafore Lane, and Parish Road for Harris County Precinct 2

The project includes reconstruction of the existing asphalt roadways within the outlined project limits along Edgar Street, Pinafore Lane and Parish Road. The project does not include regrading of existing roadside ditches but existing cross culverts affected by the construction shall be removed and replaced with the same size and material at the same elevation as called out on plans. Included in the bid documents is an alternate bid using a LithTec™ design provided by Lithified Technologies. The contractor has the option to bid on either design or both. The project limits for Edgar St. is between Buschong St. and Pinafore Lane, a length of about 2,640 linear feet. Edgar Road is a 20 to 22-foot-wide, 2 lane undivided asphalt roadway with open ditch drainage in what appears to be a 50-foot-wide ROW. The project limits for Pinafore Lane are from the Hardy Toll Road frontage road (NB) east past the Edgar/Pinafore intersection about 235 feet for a total of 450 linear feet. Pinafore is also a 20 to 22-foot-wide, 2 lane undivided asphalt roadway with open ditch drainage in what appears to be a 50-foot-wide ROW. The project limits for Parish Rd. is between Runnerburg Rd. and Krenek Rd., a length of about 4,200 linear feet. Parish Road is a 20 feet wide two-lane undivided asphalt roadway with open ditch drainage in what appears to be an 80 ft. wide ROW. Land use is a mixture of residential and farming. There are overhead power lines along the west side of the ROW and a Petro gas line that crosses Parish Road. HCFCD channel Q126-00-00, also known as Krenek Ditch, crosses Parish Road about 1,500 feet north of Krenek Road.
