Bellview Library Conversion

Construct a 12,500 SF library in the Bellview area of Escambia County. The facility will consist of a new addition and renovation of an existing bank building to create a new library for the county. The new library addition is comprised of load bearing metal stud walls with a combination of exterior insulation and finish system and metal siding. The new library roof will be a metal standing seam supported by a wood truss roof system and 2x6 wood decking. The existing bank building to be converted consists of a single-wythe CMU wall with masonry veneer at the corners and stucco finish at all other areas. The existing bank building will be converted to become a new meeting room and restrooms to support the library. The existing building will have a new exterior insulation and finish system along with new storefront windows and a new single-ply membrane roof. The work at the existing bank building will include demolition of all existing interior walls, ceilings, casework, restrooms and any mechanical, electrical and plumbing work so that only exterior walls, structure and existing bank vault will remain. There will also be selective demolition of existing sitework to remove an existing road and modification of the existing parking lot.
