Description

** As of January 16, 2022 , project will rebid, no definite date for the rebid.** Project Location: 826 South Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois 60612 MBE/WBE/WMBE/PBE participation of Consultant(s) and subconsultants with a goal of 30% The University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Construction Management Professional Services Consultant (CM) Agency for the renovation of approximately 27,000 GSF on the first, second and third floors of Taft Hall located at 826 South Halsted Street. This project will include a comprehensive remodeling of all building components and systems including, but not limited to, architectural, HVAC, electrical, AV and IT-related infrastructure, plumbing, and life safety. Achieving net-zero energy and water consumption through evaluation of geothermal and solar PV, among other renewable technologies, will be investigated. This project will also seek to completely remove and replace the existing exterior wall cladding system and add a level to the second-floor walkway that connects Taft Hall to an adjacent classroom building. Design services are being solicited under a separate advertisement. Each firm will be required to submit their proposals by the deadline referenced above. Proposal parts A, B, and C combined (no hard copies required) submitted electronically within the Technical Response tab and separate Sealed Compensation Proposal Part D submitted electronically within the Pricing for Electronic Submittal of Proposals tab. After submission of proposals, then the proposals will be opened via Zoom following the deadline date and time. Zoom link to be issued via an addendum in the future. The electronically submitted Compensation Proposal Part D will be locked from viewing until after the selection committee ranks the best qualified proposers. The electronic copy shall be submitted using the web at the URL listed and will not be accepted via e-mail. The electronic submittal is the official submittal of record. Firm shall be disqualified if an electronic submittal is not received. Firms shall notify contact person above of any technical problems PRIOR to the time/date the submittal is due.
