Description | Salt Lake City Corporation (the "City") on behalf of The Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City (RDA) is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified property maintenance service contractors (hereinafter referred to as "contractors" or "offerors") for property maintenance services on RDA owned properties. The RDA intends to enter into a property maintenance services agreement in substantially the same form as is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", "Sample Agreement", with one contractor whose services will be rendered on an as-needed and as-requested basis. However, the City reserves the right to award to more than one contractor. The selected offeror shall provide, directly or may retain through sub-contractors, the services of professionals which may include but are not limited to, licensed electricians, licensed plumbers, and others, to accomplish the Scope of Services attached as Exhibit "A" of the Sample Agreement. RDA owns approximately 30 project properties equaling over 50 acres. A contractor is required to perform services related to property maintenance and RDA projects. Duties include, building and landscaping maintenance, snow removal, janitorial, and property monitoring, including security checks. Note: Properties and locations are not static. Properties and duties are changed, sometimes dramatically, depending upon what is sold and what new projects come on board. Currently RDA properties need to be inspected at least weekly for trespassers and squatters. Responsibilities require: o Knowledge of each property, use of sub-contractors, removal of squatters, cleaning up drug paraphernalia, and human waste. o Adequately secure and/or cover building openings with adequate materials as directed. Remove trash and other debris inside and outside of structures as directed. o Mow grass, weeds, and other landscaping work. Page 2 of 26 o Shovel or plow properties and apply salt or snowmelt on these surfaces as necessary. Snow must be removed within 24 hours after snowfall has ceased, as required by Salt Lake City Ordinance. o Provide, either in house or by subcontracting, janitorial services at select properties. o Make minor to moderate repairs to structures as needed, including door and window repair, minor roof repair, fence building/mending, and other repairs to ensure structure is up to code andmaintains safe conditions. o Provide, either in house or by subcontracting, a licensed electrician or plumber to make any needed repairs or improvements. o Any other miscellaneous repairs on Agency-owned structures or properties, as needed. For the full scope of work, see the Attachment 3, Sample Agreement, and its Exhibits Contractor shall provide certain facilities support and property maintenance for Agency as described in Exhibit "A" for a term of three (3) years commencing as of the date of this Agreement. |
