Description | DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: March 29, 2023 Summary The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department (PRD) oversee 182 parks, 41,000 acres, 5 golf courses, 200 miles of trails, 29 swimming pools, and 32 community and recreation centers throughout the City of Phoenix. The Parks and Recreation Department (PRD) is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide flood irrigation maintenance, repair and replacement services for specified facilities and recreational area(s) Background The City Parks and Recreation Department provides residents and visitors with clean, green, safe, and accessible open space in 2,100 acres of park land throughout the city including parks, playgrounds, athletic facilities, city squares, urban wilds, street trees, three active cemeteries, sixteen historic burying grounds, and two golf courses. Description - Statement of Need The City of Phoenix invites sealed offers for flood irrigation system repair and replacement goods of services for a five-year contract commencing on or about June 1, 2023, in accordance with the specifications and provisions contained herein or the "Effective Date" which is upon award by City Council, conditioned upon signature and recording by the City Clerk's department, as required by the Phoenix City Code, whichever is later. The City of Phoenix is in need of Vendor(s) to fulfill the need of emergency and scheduled service(s)/repairs on an as needed basis. Any damages to our system would ultimately stop the flow of water to the turf, trees, shrubs, and other plant material, which would be costly to replace if they were to perish. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Agreement will terminate upon the earliest occurrence: by reaching the end of the term including any extensions exercised, or termination pursuant to the provisions of this Agreement. |
