Description | The City of Charlotte (hereinafter the "City") will receive sealed bids for the following Project: Direction to Bid Box: Take the elevator or stairs to the 2 nd floor, follow the directions for "City Procurement" to arrive at Room # 200A. The pink color bid box is located across from Room # 200A. As a precautionary measure due to COVID-19, City will not conduct in-person Pre-Bid and Bid Opening Meetings. Until further notice, all Pre-Bid conferences, and Bid Openings will be accessible via conference call or video conference only. Instruction on how to use Webex - City's video conferencing platform, can be obtained from: Bidders shall submit BID using one of the following options: 1) Mail: BID SUBMITTAL ADDRESS SHOWN ABOVE 2) BID Box Delivery: BID SUBMITTAL LOCATION, DATES AND TIMES SHOWN ABOVE The City of Charlotte is soliciting bids for the procurement of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) Systems. The RRFB Systems will be placed at High-Visibility Enhanced Crosswalk locations. The Contractor will be responsible for purchasing and installing these RRFB systems on an as needed basis Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law to perform the work. A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000. Please submit questions or inquiries at least seven (7) calendar days before the Bid Due Date. Questions or inquiries past this deadline may not be addressed by the City prior to the Bid Due Date. The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities as it may deem to be in its best interest. This project is subject to the requirements of the City's Charlotte Business INClusion Program to promote diversity, inclusion, and local business opportunities in the City's contracting and procurement process for Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprises headquartered in the Charlotte Combined Statistical Area.
