Construction of the Erwin Road Area 14-Inch Wl Abandonment and East Wake Street 2-Inch Wl Project

The first part of the project is to abandon approximately 6,180 LF of existing 14-inch and 6-inch waterline in the City of Dunn from Erwin Road near the intersection with Bruce Drive to just south of the intersection of South Wayne Avenue with West Cumberland Street that runs under and near existing homes and businesses. It will include the design of approximately 1,712 LF of 6-inch and 8-inch and 40 LF of 2-inch waterline segments to serve areas that will be cut-off by abandoning the 14-inch line. The second part of the project is to abandon approximately 1,002 LF of existing 2-inch waterline along East Wake Street from Carolina Drive to East Johnson Street. It will include the design of 840 LF 6-inch waterline and 226 LF 8 inch waterline installed by horizontal directional drill, to replace the existing line and provide fire flow to the surrounding area.
