Description | 1. Mobilize equipment and labor necessary to complete all work under this contract. The Aluminum Box Culvert and Steel Express Footing Forms shall be provided by Dimock Township and installed by the contractor. 2. Install Erosion and Sediment Pollution Controls including bypass pumping, concrete washout, pumped water filter bag, material stockpile area, rock construction entrance, and any other E&S control required for completion of the project 3. Load, haul, and dispose of existing material stockpile (from the emergency pipe removal). This item is incidental to Excavating and Backfill. 4. Remove and stockpile existing rip rap and slabs which are currently armoring the channel. Remove the stone steppers located on the south side of Michaels Hill Road and set aside for re-installation. 5. Excavate and install EXPRESS footing forms. Pour forms with minimum 4000# concrete mix. Backfill footings on stream side with R-8 Rip Rap choked with native streambed material for scour protection. Place 1B aggregate between the Rip Rap and footings. Armor streambed in culvert and streambed as shown on plan with R-8 Rip Rap choked with streambed material. Place one foot of native streambed material on top of Rip Rap to the proposed stream bed grade. 6. Install culvert, wingwalls, and manufactured headwall. Backfill with consolidated 2B aggregate. Pour Guide Rail slabs in accordance with PennDOT RC 51M. Provide and install a minimum of 6" of compacted 2A aggregate for roadway subbase at culvert excavation. 7. Install stone slabs into existing stone headwall to tie stone headwall into manufactured headwall on the upstream end of the culvert. Set slabs across cartway edge on north side of the culvert for traffic protection. 8. Provide and install Guiderail. Contractor may utilize guide rail components removed from the site and currently stored at the Dimock Township building. 9. Work with the landowner to reinstall stone steppers to landowner's satisfaction. Provide and install topsoil, seed and mulch to restore lawn area to landowner's satisfaction. Stabilize remaining disturbed vegetated areas in accordance with the E &S details. Erosion control blanket is required for stabilization of earth disturbances within 50' of the streambanks. Cleanup site. 10. Move By-Pass pump system to the stone slab retaining wall. Install RCE. 11. Remove Rip rap embankment armoring as needed to access the stream and excavate for stone toe wall. Stockpile Rip Rap for Re-use. 12. Remove gravel bar along retaining wall and clean channel up to 60' beyond wall. Excavate keyway at the edge of the stream channel and line keyway and a minimum of 6' of embankment with geotextile. Embankment armoring will extend approximately 60 linear feet beyond the retaining wall on both embankments. Provide and install R-8 Rip Rap Embankment protection. Do not exceed 2:1 slope. Consolidate Rip Rap with excavator bucket. Choke with streambed material and consolidate.
