Description

The project shall consist of the replacing the exiting PVC Press box Roof with a durable walkable surface. This includes any wet insulation or structural repairs. Items/service to be provided by the contractor include, but shall not be strictly limited to the following: Substrate decking shall be inspected for defects, repaired and cleaned for attachment of roof insulation. Furnish and install new wood blocking at the perimeter to meet finished insulation height and in preparation for edge metal attachment. Mechanically attach 1” flat polyisocyanurate insulation, and 1/8” per foot tapered insulation, to the steel deck. Taper the insulation to the backside of the press box drip edge. Adhere ½” gypsum cover board to the polyisocyanurate in Insul-Lock HR (or equal) in ribbon adhesive pattern 12” o.c. Adhere one (1) ply of Stress Base 80 (or approved equal) and one (1) ply of StressPly EUV FR Mineral (or approved equal) over the entire substrate in Weatherking (or approved equal) cold adhesive at application of 2.5 gallons/square per ply. Heat weld seams and end laps on cap sheet. Install .040 aluminum drip edge at the perimeter. Flashing in drip edge with two (2) plies of specified membrane (base & cap) set in flashing mastic. Contractor is responsible for field verification of all measurements and taper layout. Unless otherwise noted, contractor shall provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation and other facilities and services necessary for proper execution and completion of the work as required by The Contract Documents. Contractor is responsible for keep the job site clean orderly. All roof areas will be secured in a watertight condition each day before the Contractor vacates the site.
