Description

The work to be performed for this project is located in St. Clair Township, Columbiana County, Ohio and includes the construction of approximately 0.25 mile of new roadway which will complete the connector roadway between State Route 170 and McGuffey Drive. Work will include but not be limited to the following: excavation; embankment; flexible pavement buildup; drainage culverts; roadway ditches; extension of a new water main facilities; extension of new gravity sanitary sewer facilities; construction of a new intersection at McGuffey Drive along with the corresponding turning lanes along McGuffey Drive; pavement planing with asphalt overlay along the existing portion of Columbia Drive; and pavement markings & signing. Each Bidder and pertinent sub-contractor(s) must be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation's Office of Contracts, Contractor Qualification Section at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the contract for the pertinent ODOT WT Codes. Each bidder shall be required to complete and file with their bid the enclosed Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Bond, Warranty Bond Form (Section 153.54 O.R.C.) issued by a Surety Company licensed and authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Each bid must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond in the amount of (100%) of the "Total Amount Bid" or a Bid Guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in an amount equal to (10%) of the "Total Amount Bid". This project is funded, in part, by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC). Attention is called to certain OPWC requirements on this project, including but not limited to the following: Ohio Prevailing Wage Rate Laws, State of Ohio Equal Opportunity Requirements, Domestic Steel Use Requirements (i.e. Steel products made in the United States), etc. St. Clair Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work.
