Description | Evenly grading the existing slope between the existing sheet pile wall and lighthouse foundation and install rip rap over geotextile fabric. An armored stone trench will be constructed behind the existing sheet pile wall to convey water from breaking waves away from the lighthouse and back to Lake Michigan. Approximately 300 Tons of 3 to 6 ton armor stone will be placed waterward of the existing sheet pile wall to protect the existing sheeting and dissipate wave energy, and 270 cyd of MDOT heavy rip rap over geotextile fabric landward of the existing sheet pile wall. Approximately 400 linear feet of pile cap on the existing sheet pile wall will be replaced at the locations shown on the plans. |
