Description

The work will include but is not limited to the renovation of the one (1) existing tennis court at the park. The new court area will be striped for one (1) tennis and four (4) pickleball courts. The renovation shall consist of milling existing asphalt surface, removal and disposal of excess material, laser grading of the millings, new asphalt surface and base course, color coating, and striping on the court and adjustments to existing gates at the court. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 90 calendar days for completion of the work from the notice to proceed. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the Town of Clinton, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. The successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bids can also be dropped off in advance in the drop box outside of the Municipal Building no later than June 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM, should bidders choose to drop off the full bid package at the drop box, they must contact Richard Phelan, Business Administrator, via the Town of Clinton main number (908) 735-8616 for physical collection of the bid package. The Town of Clinton reserves the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the Town to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Bid forms.
