Description | For Pembroke Elementary School and Trantwood Elementary School Make-up Air Unit Replacements Phase 1 Work includes all work except for that described as Phase 2 Work. Phase 1 work also includes all HVAC Commissioning work through submission and approval of screen shots. Phase 2 Work includes all HVAC Commissioning work after submission and approval of screen shots. The project is generally described as removal and replacement of existing makeup air units. Project includes removal and replacement of existing HVAC units, curbs, ductwork, electrical systems and new structural supports associated with the HVAC unit replacements. Project includes Hazardous Materials Abatement and cleaning of the building interior below or in any where Hazardous Materials are removed. Project Locations- Pembroke Elementary School 4622 Jericho Road Virginia Beach, Virginia, Trantwood ES School- 2344 Inlynnview Road Virginia Beach, Virginia The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be according to Chapter 43, Title 11, Section 2.2-4330 (i) of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended. The General contract is to be awarded on a lump sum basis and includes all work as defined in the Contract Documents. Drawings and Specifications may be seen at the following locations: A&E Reprographics, Norfolk www.aereprographics.com Bid Security: A bidder's bond or certified check will be required in the amount of not less than five percent of the Base Bid. The bid bond shall be executed on AIA Document A310, or in the same form, and for a period of not less than 60 days after the bid opening date. Bond or check shall be payable to the School Board of the City of Virginia Beach. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. Unless canceled or rejected, a responsive bid from the lowest responsible bidder shall be accepted as submitted, except that if the bid from the lowest responsible bidder exceeds available funds, the Owner may negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds, as authorized by Section 2.2-4318 of the Code of Virginia.
