Description | The Town of Cary will renovate the playground at Fred G. Bond Metro Park. Bond Park is a regional 310-acre park that is home to Cary’s Senior Center, a Community Center, Bond Lake and Boathouse, Cary’s ropes course along with scores of ball fields, hiking and fitness opportunities, and numerous shelters. Fred G. Bond Metro Park is located at 801 High House Road, Cary NC 27513. Lazy Daze Playground is in the park off Bond Park Drive. Lazy Daze Playground is set into a wooded area. The surface is wood chip mulch held in place with edging. Currently there are two play areas: one area for 2- to 5-year-old children and a larger one for 5- to 12-year-old children and accompanying swing set for both ages. Four spring riders face each other in an area between the tot play structure and tot swings. A sand play area has three backhoe diggers and a small playhouse. There are six benches around the playground. The Town of Cary will renovate Rose Street Park Playground. This neighborhood park has the distinction of being Cary’s smallest park and is located at 110 Rose Street, Cary NC 27511. Currently this park has a basketball court, play equipment for small children ages 2 – 5 years of age, a picnic table and benches. |
