Description | The proposal consists of the protection of approximately 492 feet of streambank along the left bank of the Lower Chehalis River. It includes bank protection, consisting of ballasted log jack placement, embankment reshaping (cobble, gravel, and slash backfill), and installation of riparian planting, above and below Ordinary High Water; erosion and sediment control; traffic control; property restoration; and other work. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work as specified. Project is in-water work window dependent. Award will take into consideration the lowest total price to provide the services specified along with qualifications and experience of the bidder and the Ports budget capability. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited. In accordance with RCW 42.56.100 and Port of Grays Harbor Resolution 2973, the Port makes the following rule: Public Bid Guidelines require that the Port of Grays Harbor maintain the integrity of official bid documents sets, provide swift response when incorporating addenda changes, and communicate in a singular, fair, and equitable manner to registered bidders. Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check plan room for addenda issued on this project. |
