Description | Sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the construction of: Project #22-1575 Kenosha Fire Station 7 Renovations all in accordance with specifications on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. The project includes the removal and replacement of the existing windows, some of the exterior doors, as well as some of the exterior façade. The interior framing of the exterior wall is being removed and replaced and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashiers check, in the sum of five per cent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the contract and performance bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The form provided for Bidders Proof of Responsibility shall be completed and returned to the Director of Engineering not less than five (5) days before the date of bid opening. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance as enumerated in the specifications. The City of Kenosha reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid considered most advantageous to the City of Kenosha.
