Description

The project is for the shingle roof repair for the Road Prison Portable Classroom. The work includes but is not limited to: 1. Proper staging of materials. Materials shall arrive onsite in their manufacturers labeling and be kept in a watertight/temperature safe environment prior to installation as per all manufacturers’ recommendations that apply. 2. Existing shingles (1,000 SF) and underlayment (1,000 SF) should be removed down to the lumber deck. Remove and dispose of the existing edge metal (125 LF). 3. The lumber deck should then be assessed for any adverse moisture damage and removed and replaced if damage is observed. Contactor should include a unit price for lumber deck. 4. Synthetic underlayment (1,000 SF) should then be installed per manufacturer’s recommendations. 5. Architectural laminate shingles (1,000 SF) should then be installed per manufacturer’s recommendations. Ensure proper fastener spacing to adhere to local wind uplift codes. 6. Contractor should remove and replace approximately one-hundred and twenty-five (125) linear feet of edge metal with like kind and quality material.
