| Description | The Contractor shall commence plowing and sanding or salting when the snow on the road surface has reached a depth of no more than one (1”) inch. Snow removal and sanding operations shall continue until roadways are cleared of snow to the outside shoulders. A Sand / Salt mixture shall be spread to cover the center two thirds (2/3) of the roadway at a spread rate of no more than 1500 lbs (1/2 cubic yard) per center line mile. Careful attention shall be given to the melting action so as to remove any and all slush (30% melted snow pack or ice) as soon as possible. |
