Description | To rehabilitate the 16-Inch Emergency Bypass Sewer and 12-Inch Failsafe Outfall (Work) consisting of installing manholes, access points, cleaning pipeline, CCTV, lining 3,200 linear feet of 16-Inch liner, lining 2,150 linear feet of 12-inch liner, conducting repairs, and surface restoration per contract documents, work in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, and City of San Marcos, California. All work under this Contract shall be completed within two hundred twenty (220) calendar days from the date noted in the NOTICE TO PROCEED. All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to Lito Santos, P.E., (760) 744-0460 ext 370, Direct Line 760-752-7156 or LSantos@vwd.org. Questions regarding the project will be answered up to 3 working days before the bid opening. Because of the time necessary to notify bidders, no addenda will be issued within 3 working days of the date set for the opening of bids. Deadline for questions is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th, questions received after the deadline may not receive a response. Bids will be rejected if Bidders or Contractors are not on the Districts Plan Holder's List prior to the bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the amount of the bid, in the form of cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120), and made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the District. Said cash, check, or bond shall be given as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a Contract with the District and furnish the required payment and performance bonds and insurance certificates and endorsements if awarded the Work, and will be declared forfeited if the bidder refuses to timely enter into said Contract or furnish the required bonds or insurance certificates and endorsements if his bid is accepted. The Bid Bond of unsuccessful bidders will be returned by the District no later than 60 calendar days following the date of award of contract. |
