Description | *As of February 20, 2023, a contractor has been awarded. The River Street Reconstruction Project - The project includes 0.73 miles of full depth reconstruction of River Street in Sanford, from High Street to Spartan Drive/Orlando Street. Roadway work includes new pavement, gravels, drainage, slipform concrete curb, fencing, retaining walls, signing, striping and other incidental work. This project also includes lighting and landscaping work along the corridor. The project does not include work at the intersection of River Street and Cottage Street, as noted in the plans. Location: In York County, the project is located on River Street in Sanford, Maine. River Street Pole 1 - replace and move if needed to keep straight line. Pole 2 - replace and move 12' to 15' towards pole 4 to shorten spans and move to keep straight line if needed. Pole 3 - to be eliminated. Pole 4 - replace and to be moved back 12' to 15'. Pole 4H - replace and to be moved back 12' to 15'. Pole 5 - replace and to be moved back 12' to 15'. Pole 6 - replace and to be moved back 12' to 15'. Pole 7 - replace and to be moved back 12' to 15' along with 10' to 15' towards pole 6 (50' pole or 55'). Pole 8 - (new pole 9.1) to be moved back 2' and used as a point pole from pole 9. Pole 9 - move across the street by corner of fence (need to install head guy anchor for CCI) (50' or 55' pole) Pole 10 - move 4' back and 1' toward the intersection so anchor can be installed next to the CCI duct bank. In the field pole 10 River Street & pole 13 Winter Street are the same pole. GIS web shows two (2) different poles but that's not the case. Replace with 50' or 55' pole (Future traffic light poles to be installed by separate project). All questions should be directed to Matthew E. Hill, P.E. at mehill@sanfordmaine.org or in writing to the Department of Public Works. Questions received after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 The Contractor shall have the project substantially completed by November 17, 2023; final completion- contract completion date of June 28, 2024. |
