RFQ D/B - Carolina Crossroads Phase 3 - I-20/26/126 System Interchanges

SCDOT requests Statements of Qualifications from all interested parties experienced in all phases of highway design and construction to provide design and construction services for the Carolina Crossroads Phase 3 - I-20/26/126 System Interchanges in Richland and Lexington Counties. The Project consists of all work necessary to complete the design and reconstruction of new interchanges at I-20 with I-26, I-26 with I-126, St. Andrews Road (S-36) with I-26, and Bush River Road (S-273) with I-20 and associated interstate widening and ramp construction in Richland and Lexington Counties. Work will include design and construction of interstate widening, interchange ramps, collector-distributor roads, crossing routes, frontage roads, side roads, highway bridges, riverine bridges, railroad bridges, retaining walls, noise barrier wall and related roadway appurtenances. The Project also includes coordination, design, and relocation of utilities. o Reconstruction of interchange, including removal, disposal, and reconstruction of the associated overpass bridge; o Constructing interstate and service road bridges; o Widening/realigning interstates and reconstructing adjacent service roads with asphalt pavement; o Constructing retaining walls, noise barrier walls and culverts and other roadway structures; o Constructing drainage systems along with necessary sediment and erosion control measures; o Constructing highway signing, lighting, and signalization; o Demolition of residential and commercial properties; o Removal and disposal of lead paint and asbestos; o Constructing sanitary sewer systems; o Constructing potable water systems; o Constructing telecommunication conduits and fiber optic connections; o Constructing other necessary elements consistent with projects of similar magnitude. SCDOT currently estimates the DBE goal for the project will be 12.1%. The Professional Services DBE goal is 0.2% with the remaining 11.9% being met in any trade in support of design and/or constructing the project.
