Description | 1. The undersigned being familiar with the local conditions affecting the cost of the work and the Special Provisions for the crushing and stockpiling of aggregate, hereby propose to furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the crushing and stockpiling of aggregate in connection therewith. The Contractor will be paid for the performance of the work in accordance to the following unit and unit price as set forth below, as follows: 2. For County leased sites, the contract will be awarded on the lowest bid as submitted and based on the contractor's availability at the time of need by Mountrail County. For Contractor leased sites, the contract will be awarded based on location and contractor's availability at the time of need by Mountrail County. Contractor agrees bid is valid for a period of one year from bid acceptance unless a thirty (30) day written notice is sent to the County Engineer, PO Box 275, Stanley, ND 58784 to withdraw such bid. Contractor will be obligated to bid price for any job award(s) prior to withdrawal. 3. For County leased site only, a one-time mobilization fee will be paid from shortest distance to locate contractor's equipment (includes all equipment) to crushing site location. Fee will be based on cost per mile. Total miles to be paid to mobilize must be agreed upon in writing between contractor and the Mountrail County Engineer prior to awarding job. Mountrail County does not pay for demobilization. No mobilization fees will be paid on contractor leased sites 4. If contract is awarded, contractor will be required to: o Sign agreement with Mountrail County and obtain access agreement with landowner. Agreement form will be furnished by the Mountrail County Road & Bridge Department. o Provide Road and Bridge department with a copy of approved conditional use permit for proper zoning of gravel pit. o Provide Road and Bridge department with a copy of approved Haul Route agreement from gravel pit site to nearest county or state roadway. 5. In submitting this bid it is understood that the right is reserved by the owner to reject any and all such bids and to waive irregularities, and it is agreed that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days from this opening thereof. 6. No bid security will be required with the Bid. 7. For all new gravel crushing bids, a Certificate of current Liability Insurance is due at time of bid, updated Certificate of Insurance with Mountrail County listed as Certificate Holder will be required PRIOR to any work being awarded. (Copy of most recent Liability Insurance must be included.) |
