Description | The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists but not limited to the following: 1. Removal of existing pit ladder and provide and install new pit ladders in location indicated by elevator contractor. 2. Provide new doors, frames and hardware to elevator machine room and elevator pit. 3. Construct new elevator lobbies on each floor to include gypsum board walls and hollow metal doors and frames. 4. Paint existing elevator door frames and adjacent wall corner to corner. 5. Provide elevator modernization of the existing passenger and freight elevator to include the following: a. Remove and dispose of all existing elevator equipment not indicated to remain. b. Provide all new components as indicated in the specifications to include but not limited to the following: 1) Elevator Controllers. 2) Elevator machines 3) Hoistway and cab doors. 4) Elevator cab wall, floor and ceiling finishes. 5) Elevator call devices and indicator. c. The following existing elevator components shall remain and be reused: 1) All elevator rails are to remain and be cleaned of all surface rust. 2) All door hoistway door frames are to remain and be prepared and refinished to include filling all dents in the frames. 3) All sills shall remain and be cleaned and polished to be restored to the original condition. 4) Elevator sling and platform are to remain and be reused. d. Elevator modernization shall be limited to work on one elevator at a time so that one elevator is available to occupants at all times. 6. Remove existing sump pit and provide new sump pit and all piping as shown. 7. Provide new HVAC system for elevator machine room. 8. Provide new elevator disconnects. Existing electrical feeders to be reused. 9. Provide new electrical lighting and receptacles in the elevator pit and in the machine room. 10. Provide additional fire alarm devices as shown. |
