Description | Q & A deadline: Jul 06, 2022 6:00:00 PM EDT Bids will be received by the University of Utah U Facilities for: Bd 904 RWHC HVAC Heating Loop Upgrade - Mechanical Work University Project Number 70388 Bids will be in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by University of Utah U Facilities and Van Boerum & Frank Associates, hereinafter referred to as A/E as defined in the General Conditions. Provide and install full scope of mechanical work as per drawings. Effective September 10, 2018, the University has retired the previous state mandated Surety Bond Forms and is now requiring the use of the AIA Bid Bond Form A310-2010 and Performance and Payment Bond Form A312-2010. Persons or companies bidding on this project shall hold a current Utah Contractor's License covering the type of work to be done and shall be bondable to the amount of the Contract. Questions raised at the meeting will be noted and answers will be included in an addendum issued prior to the bid opening. A list of Contractors who attended the meeting will be included in the addendum. Please note that only persons directly employed by the represented Contractor may sign for that Contractor; and, only the bids supplied by Contractors who are listed in the addendum will be opened. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to The University of Utah, must be procured and submitted to the University of Utah within 24 hours after the bid due time. The bid bond may be scanned and submitted with the online bid at the time of the bid. Construction Constraints: Successful bidder will have completed successful projects in a healthcare setting within the past two years. All work performed must allow for the facility to maintain full operations and patient care. Contractor to provide edge-guard rigid ICRA barriers. Contractor to provide and maintain negative air machines and/or air scrubbers. Sticky mats to be provided and maintained by contractor. Staging area will be provided in the parking lot for materials, vehicles, offices etc - location to be determined at a later date. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University. |
