Replacement of Penn Blowdown Separator to Boilers 1 and 2

The contractor will remove, install and weld all necessary components to successfully replace 250 PSI Penn blowdown separator rated for 450 degrees in upper boiler house at Albany County Correctional Facility. All work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable building codes, standards and materials specifications including all plumbing, venting etc. The contractor shall furnish and install all necessary labor, equipment, tools and material to remove old Penn blowdown separator as well as connecting existing vent lines, water lines and blowdown lines. Contractor to provide the following: a. (1) New 250 PSI at 450 degree Penn blowdown separator b. Set blow-down separator onto existing supports. c. Remove deteriorated 1-1/2 blow-down line, replace from union. d. Connect existing 1-1/4 domestic cold water line to new separator. e. Connect and weld existing 4” vent line to separator. f. Connect existing condensate line to new blow-down separator. g. Replace blow-down line from bottom of separator with new 4” pipe and fittings from existing stub in the ground. h. Insulate all new piping with ½” fiberglass. i. Clean up all debris on daily basis.
