Description

Bids being mailed should be mailed to Honorable Harvey Stowers, Mayor, City of Jamestown, Tennessee, P.O. Box 670, Jamestown, Tennessee 38556. The work is in one Contract and includes the replacement of approximately 2,800 linear feet of 10-inch and 8-inch gravity sewer by pipe bursting, sewer lateral replacements and all other work as outlined within the specifications and/or shown within the bid documents. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must be licensed General Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon. Bidders are further directed to TCA 62-6-119 as provisions of this chapter must be complied with or the bid will not be considered. All bidders must comply with all provisions of TCA 50-9-113 as it relates to Drug-Free Workplace requirements. The contractor shall complete the Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit of the Prime Bidder form and submit it with the Bid. All bidders must also comply with Chapter 878 of TCA 12-4-1 as it relates to certification of compliance regarding illegal immigrants. The contractor shall complete the Statement of Compliance Illegal Immigrants form and submit it with the Bid. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. The successful bidder is required to furnish both performance and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
