Description | Proposals shall be filed at the office of the Auditor at Lawrence County Courthouse, Deadwood, South Dakota, 57732 and shall be marked: Proposal For: 2023 Nemo Road Mill & Overlay Phase I LAWRENCE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA The major division of work contemplated under this proposal is as follows: LAWRENCE COUNTY: Mill 54,208 SY of asphalt roadway 1.5-inch depth, overlay 3.85 miles of 24' wide roadway with (two) 2-inch lifts of Class E Type 1 asphalt, approach work to include asphalt paving and roadway striping. Payments to the Contractor will be made in cash, based on monthly estimates for work completed, subject to the retained percentages as specified in the Information for Bidders. All proposals will be made on the forms furnished by the Owner. Each bidder shall submit with his proposal a certified check or cashier's check, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, or Bid Bond in the amount often percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, and made payable to Lawrence County, South Dakota, as a guarantee of the bidder entering into a contract for the construction of the work and furnishing of a 100% performance and a 100% payment bond. The Contractor shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, national origin, or gender. The Contractor shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated, during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, national origin, or gender. The Lawrence County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities there in. |
