Description | As of May 16, 2023, project was awarded to Insight Pipe Contracting for Phase 3A with $1,693,493.75 and Municipal and Contractors Sealing Products for Phase with $3,688,889.00. Total awarded amount is $5,382,382.75. Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 3A Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of pipe sizes 8" to 24". Estimate: $5,000,000.00 This Project is funded through both a grant and loan provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service (RUS). The Project includes the following Work: Phase 3A - Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of 10,170 linear feet of pipe with diameters ranging in size from 8 inches to 24 inches, three new manholes, and 458 vertical feet of manhole lining. The project includes CCTV and cleaning of the lines, laboratory testing, subsurface utility exploration, spot repairs as necessary, bypass pumping, and traffic control. The Project has an expected duration of the following calendar days: Phase 3A - 480 calendar days Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 3B Centrifugally Cast Concrete Pipe (CCCP) rehabilitation of pipe sizes 36" to 84". Estimate: $900,000.00 This Project is funded through both a grant and loan provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service (RUS). Phase 3B - Centrifugally Cast Concrete Pipe (CCCP) rehabilitation of 5,795 linear feet of pipe with diameters ranging in size from 36 inches to 84 inches and eight new manholes. The project includes CCTV of the lines, cleaning of the lines, laboratory testing, subsurface utility exploration, spot repairs as necessary, bypass pumping, and traffic control. The Project has an expected duration of the following calendar days: Phase 3B - 480 calendar days Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the offices of the City of Monessen on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the City of Monessen or W.E.C. Inc. as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Copies of the contract plans and documents in pdf format may be emailed upon receipt of a check in the amount of $150.00. Call (412) 257-8774 to arrange for mailing. This fee must be received by W.E.C. Inc. at 1370 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017 prior to mailing of the documents, and no requests will be honored within five days prior to the bid opening date, Payments for contract documents are not refundable. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor and/or the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry must be paid on this project; that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employments are not discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin; and that the Resident Employment and Training Requirements be observed. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 91 days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract(s). The City of Monessen reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Awards will be to the low bid for each project, not the combined low bid. |
