Description | The Littleton Electric Light & Water Department (or "LELWD") invites sealed bids from qualified bidders for the demolition and removal of the barn structure, located at 242 King Street, Littleton, Massachusetts. Bids must be sealed and marked on the outside "IFB #2022-242 King Demo" The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. In addition, questions or clarifications regarding this IFB should be submitted in writing to the attention of David Ketchen, dketchen@lelwd.com with the IFB # in the subject line. LELWD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids received, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of LELWD to do so. General Contractor's Category of DCAMM Certification: Demolition The demolition of LELWD's barn structure at 242 King Street entails the following work: o Demolition, removal, and legal disposal of existing barn structure and foundation. The total square footage of the building is 4,532 sqft, consisting of both wood and metal framing. See Appendix A o Demolition of the barn should take place before December 31, 2022. o LELWD requests that the contractor evaluates the barn for salvageable timber and the contractor reclaim any timber possible during demolition. o Due to the site's proximity to wetlands, the attached Littleton Conservation Commission Order of Conditions must be followed and obtaining applicable permits is the contractors responsibility.
