Description | Fire Protection and Fire Alarm Systems Inspection, Maintenance and Repair Services The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is seeking specialty-licensed contractors to provide services for the fire protection and fire alarm systems at SFMTA facilities. The fire protection systems include fire suppression, sprinklers, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and other fire protection equipment that work in tandem to protect against fire. The services also include monitoring, testing, and inspection of the fire alarm systems, and maintenance and repair work of such systems. The work is to be performed on an "if-and-as-needed" basis in accordance with the requirements of San Francisco Administrative Code Section 6.65. Contractors who can demonstrate experience, expertise and quality of work may be awarded a master agreement for a term not to exceed five years. All maintenance and repair services work shall conform to the City's insurance, bonds, indemnity, and prevailing wage requirements. When work is available, at least three special service contractors will be invited to submit a competitive quotation for the work. Pursuant to the City's Local Business Enterprise (LBE) Ordinance, the LBE subcontracting requirement may be applied to a Contract Service Order (CSO) where the work is estimated by the SFMTA to equal or exceed $300,000. The Contractor submitting the lowest responsive quotation may be awarded the CSO to perform the work. The SFMTA will accept requests for a Special Services Master Agreement on a continuous basis, but reserves the right to terminate the solicitation at any time. The SFMTA will notify contractors determined to be ineligible to be awarded a Special Services Master Agreement in writing within 60 days of their request. |
