Video Management System

Montgomery College (MC) seeks a qualified vendor to provide a College-Wide, Cloud Based Video Content Management System that will be utilized by multiple stakeholders (i.e., Faculty, Staff, MCTV, Disability Support Services, Academic Departments, etc.) to facilitate the use of and manage access to video content. The scope of this project will be limited to identified College departments that utilize videos more than once for instructional purposes. This will assist with streamlining processes and develop baseline data on usage and captioning cost. The intention is to expand access to the video management system and captioning services to other departments several years out. Inventory would include inhouse developed content, curated content, and 3rd party content (e.g. YouTube, Screencast-O-Matic, etc.). The primary function will be to support the use of video content in teaching and training, to address compliance with captioning and accessible media content, and to facilitate centralized captioning support for the College community. MC has experienced an increase in the demand and need for closed captioned media content. Thus, MC seeks a solution to proactively caption video content, store and organize video content, and seamlessly integrate video content with the College’s learning management system (LMS) that supports content creators and users to ensure compliance with ADA, Section 504, and WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
