Description | The planned Scope of Work described in this Invitation to Bid # BUT2297KR, Master Pump Station 100, Influent and Discharge Force Mains includes, but is not limited to, the following: * An influent force main system conveying wastewater from existing Master Pump Station 103 to Master Pump Station 100 (MPS100). The influent force main system consists of 1,700 feet of new 16-inch open cut PVC piping combined with an existing 16-inch "dry" line, 4,100 feet in length, that was previously installed when improvements to 47th Terrace were constructed. The influent piping system also includes an 800-foot HDD installation of 18-inch DR11 HDPE piping in a 24-inch HDPE DR13.5 casing in Cape Coral Street. *A discharge force main system conveying wastewater from MPS 100 to a connection point with new force main piping being designed by Johnson Engineering that will eventually discharge to the City's Southwest Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The discharge force main is approximately 7,000 feet of 20-inch PVC piping installed by open cut construction. *MPS 100 will be constructed by Others under a separate contract. This force main project and the MPS 100 project will both be constructed at approximately the same time. A connection point between the two force main piping systems and the yard piping associated with the MPS 100 project has been established at the site property line and is shown on the Drawings. *A new fiber optic conduit system with pull boxes will be installed running parallel to the discharge force main as shown on the Drawings. Actual fiber optic cable will be installed By Others at a later The last day for questions to be received in writing to krose@capecoral.net will be by 4:00 PM (local) on Monday, July 18, 2022 |
