Description | The Project Manager will provide professional project management and oversight services as requested for the Project. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, the Project Manager shall be capable of providing the following categories of services on behalf of, and as required by, the City (Note: Required scope may change in response to City staff capacity and project needs): 1. Generally, serve as the primary entity responsible to the City of Hamilton for coordinating the Project on behalf of the City. 2. Coordinate activities of City staff assigned to the Project (e.g. overall project oversight and management, prevailing wage compliance, accounting, etc.) 3. Shop Drawing Review 4. Site evaluation 5. Assist City staff with final determination of project delivery methodology. 6. With assistance from City staff and legal counsel, develop and initiate procurement activities for selection of design team. 7. With assistance from City staff and legal counsel, develop and initiate procurement activities for selection of construction manager at risk (CMR) or Design Build (DB) team. 8. Work with City staff and design team to ensure program and design specifications meet operational needs in most cost effective manner possible. 9. Work with City staff and design team to balance program and design specifications with total cost of ownership. 10.Coordinate with and among design team, CMR/DB team and City staff 11.Provide guidance on constructability during design. 12.Review design for adherence to project requirements, schedule and budget. 13.Oversee project scheduling including: Work breakdown structure, critical paths, etc. in order to protect the City’s interests. 14.Manage and document all meetings. 15.Provide expertise, analysis and advice to City staff in review of Construction Manager/DB GMP proposal. |
