Commissioning Services for SDM Auditorium

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from firms interested in providing third-party full commissioning services for the new SDM Auditorium on the Alton Campus. The A/E is presently involved in the Design Development stage and Cx participation in the process is required. The scope of this Commissioning Agent (CxA) contract includes LEED base and enhanced building commissioning services and building envelope commissioning services. The CxA will provide planning, design reviews, commissioning specifications, construction field inspections, functional performance testing and training, and warranty reviews for this project, which will be designed and built to obtain a minimum of LEED Silver. The following related criteria will be among those used to evaluate the firms and/or teams requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, assigned staff with prior experience with similar projects in size and complexity, approach to project commissioning, expertise in building systems and controls, staff size appropriate to the scope, related State experience, team structure, current workload, BEP status, LEED Professional Credentials for those assigned to the project, and history of accurate cost information. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of the submitting firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the firm's level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number). As part of the submission, each team member must include a copy of the CDB Pre-qualification Certificate and a copy of their CDB 255 form. Attachments to the 255 form are allowed. This is not a CDB project. Faxed or electronic submittals will not be accepted. Interested firms need to submit only one copy of the attached forms (Financial Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest, Contract Certification, DHR Form, Insurance Checklist, Authority to Do Business in Illinois, State Board of Elections, etc.) and/or (Form A). A CD or some form of electronic format containing all of the information, including the forms, should be submitted in addition to the number of hard copies listed below.
