| Description | The work to be performed under this contract includes: Demolition and removal of the existing Bridges #330.1 & #331.1; Construction of the replacement Bridge #330.1 with a single span structure supported on full height abutments. The superstructure will consist of steel welded plate girders with a composite, precast steel reinforced concrete deck. The substructures will be precast reinforced concrete forms filled with cast-in-place concrete founded on cast-in-place footings with permanent steel sheeting scour protection. The structure will have precast reinforced concrete approach slabs. The proposed roadway cross section at the bridge will consist of two (2) 12-foot travel lanes, two (2) 5-foot shoulders and one (1) 8-foot sidewalk; Construction of the replacement Bridge #331.1 with a single span, 3-sided rigid frame structure. The rigid frame structure will consist of precast concrete with an integral precast concrete top slab/ riding surface. The substructure will consist of precast wingwalls and pedestals founded on precast concrete footings. The structure will have precast reinforced concrete approach slabs. The proposed roadway cross section at the bridge will consist of two (2) 12-foot travel lanes, two (2) 5-foot shoulders, one (1) 5-foot sidewalk and one (1) 8-foot sidewalk; The removal of the existing pavement (concrete and asphalt), full depth HMA pavement reconstruction as well as milling and repaving and installation of guide rail systems, new striping, drainage reconstruction, and concrete sidewalk, pervious bituminous sidewalk/path, concrete curbs, and excavation; The temporary support of gas main bypass and contractor assistance in the installation of gas and water main onto Bridge #330.1. The contractor will be responsible to assist the utility owners relocating facilities within project limits with excavation support, excavation, installation of utilities onto structural steel and general assistance when required and will provide such at no additional cost to the County with all associated costs included within the various Lump Sum pay items. | ||||||||||||||||||||
