Description

Gold Mountain Communication Zone Fiber Project Kitsap PUD is requiring contractors to participate in 1 mandatory project field walk to submit a qualifying bid. Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required for the installation of the Kitsap PUD provided fiber cables from Kitsap PUD's existing splice case at the base of Gold Mountain on McKenna Falls Rd to the Communication Zone on the top of Gold Mountain. Installing District provided vaults, pedestals, and ROC drops. Contractor will be required to provide all one and half inch (1.5") schedule 40 duct, as indicated in the drawings and other specifications which can be found on the Kitsap PUD Point of contact for questions is Stan Smelcer, at telecombid@kpud.org. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications. When submitting a bid, only include the bid form, the bid bond, Statement of Bidders Qualifications, and the Non-Collusion certificate. Other forms included in the "Standard Construction Specifications" are for reference and to be used during the award and performance of the contract. A bid bond is required with this project. Cash, checks or money orders will not be accepted. Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required by the successful bidder. All requirements of a normal public works project are in full effect including, but not limited to prevailing wage, insurance requirements, maintenance bonds and compliance of all Labor and Industry requirements. Upon completion of the project, Contractor shall invoice Kitsap PUD for final payment. Kitsap PUD will process the final payment upon receipt of Affidavit of Wages Paid (from Washington State Department of Labor and Industries) and execution of the Maintenance Bond. Kitsap PUD has obtained the PSE Attachment Permit. All other permits if any are the Contractors responsibility. The Contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. Kitsap PUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding.
