2023 Annual Hauling Services (Hourly Rate)

Catoosa County Board of Commissioners (CCBOC) is seeking responders to submit proposals on the following: Provide Hourly rates for Annual Hauling Services as described in the following Scope of Work Section. This contract will be subject to annual review on or near its anniversary. The awarded contractor will provide services for twelve consecutive months and the contract will be subject to annual review and renewal for up to three years. 1. A minimum of Eight (8) tandem trucks shall be available for hauling services. A minimum of Four (4) of these tandem trucks shall have insulated beds for hauling asphalt and four (4) tandem trucks with demo beds for demolition jobs and brush removal. The number of trucks required will vary on a project-to-project basis and available 24/7 for emergency events. 2. If weather conditions prevent operatable work conditions or the asphalt plant is closed for any reason the County reserves the right to give the hauling company a minimum one-hour cancelation notice. 3. Description of Truck: Standard 10-wheeled dump truck with tandem axles capable of legally hauling up to 16 tons. 4. Materials will generally be loaded from local vendors; however, material may need to be hauled from outside Catoosa County when not available locally. 5. Trucks shall meet all State road safety requirements. Trucks shall be in good reliable working conditions and able to pass State inspections. Catoosa County will not be held responsible for trucks being operated in an unsafe or illegal manner. 6. All truck beds shall be thoroughly cleaned before the start of each workday. The County has the right to inspect each truck bed. Negligence to clean out truck bed before hauling asphalt by the driver could result in substandard conditions and the County will not be charged for rejected trucks. 7. Employees must always conduct themselves in a professional manner. Contractors employees may not bring children or other non-employees of Contractor to jobsite while performing services. 8. Catoosa County will provide a minimum of four (4) hours guaranteed hauling time per day when work has been initiated. Catoosa County will pay any additional hours worked above the four (4) hour minimum. 9. Price shall include the tandem truck and operator, fuel, insurance, pick-up and delivery of all materials needed for Catoosa County projects. 11. A daily time sheet shall be filled out by each driver that provides the following information: Date, Ticket Number, Truck Number, Driver Name, Job Name, Start/Ending time, Material type, and a signature of receipt. 12. Daily time sheet signed by Catoosa County employee must accompany the invoice. 13. Asphalt hauling experience is important in this bid, failure to provide asphalt hauling references may result in disqualification.
