Description | The council maintains the right of refusal and at which time the bid would be re- advertised. This contract is a two-year contract to begin April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2025, subject to a one-year renewal option by the town council. Bids will include the following: A. During the months of April through October (7) months: 1. Mow and maintain at least every other week, the property around the Town Hall, Fire Station, recreational areas, the area around the cell tower and the Fire Department training facility, including picking up fallen limbs that would prevent mowing and hauling off, and also including blowing off all sidewalks and the stationery roadside sign located at Town Hall. Town Hall is to be notified of mowing dates. 2. Mow and maintain at least every other week, road shoulders, and rights of way a minimum of 12 (twelve) feet, where possible, along the paved roads on all State, County and Town streets within the corporate limits of the town, including Woodpecker Walking Trail, and pick up and haul off fallen limbs that would prevent mowing. Blow off sidewalks located along SR 121 and Woodpecker Walking Trail. Edge sidewalks as needed or at least twice per year. 3. Weed-Eating around the Town Hall and Fire Station, sidewalks and stationery signs and fences, signposts, light poles, trees and shrubs and to include bridge stanchions, and at least 3 feet around entrance signs located on SR 121 at each end of town and low lying ditches around each sign. Clean up debris from around bridge stanchions. 4. Obstructive debris in areas preventing mowing will be picked up before mowing and hauled off. 5. Grass is not to be cut as to damage the root system. 6. Mowing is to be done during daylight hours. B. Fertilize shrubbery located at Recreation, Fire Station, and Town Hall early Spring and Late Summer. The town will provide the fertilizer. C. During the months of November through March (5 months) The above services will be done during the months of November through March (5months), as specified except the frequency will be once per month. D. Mulch once per year shrubbery located at Town Hall, Fire Station, and Recreation. Town will provide mulch. E. This contract is subject to a one-year renewal option by the Town Council. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS 1. Provide insurance certificate with 300,000 Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance or Worker's Compensation Exemption Certificate with bid. 2. All equipment including mower is to be furnished by the contractor of the job. 3. Mowing dates must be presented monthly to the Town Hall. |
