Description | As of January 24, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been established. City of Atlanta - Raw Water Transmission Main Renewal Project A- The Work of this Contract is shown on the Drawings and may consist of all or some of the following: 1. Cleaning and renewal of approximately 2,242 LF of existing 36-inch diameter cast iron pipe that is currently out of service. In order to create access to the pipe interior, six (6) temporary access pits will be excavated and the pipe will be cut open in those locations to allow for the removal and subsequent replacement of the original spool pieces. Upon completion of pipeline cleaning and renewal, the excavations will be backfilled and the ground or pavement restored. 2. Pre-cleaning, post-cleaning and Post-Renewal Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) inspection of the cast iron pipeline to be renewed. 3. Pipeline mechanical work including: interior pipe repair at one (1) location on the 36-inch cast iron pipeline, installation of cathodic protection on the 36-inch ductile iron pipe, the replacement of one (1) blowoff valve on the 36- inch pipeline. 4. Temporary and permanent erosion and sedimentation control on all land disturbance. 5. Extra work (if ordered by the City of Atlanta) may include: Additive Alternate 1, additional pipeline renewal not included in the scope above, pipeline repair, valve replacement, cathodic protection installation, or small diameter pipeline work. 6. All associated miscellaneous work, including site restoration, pavement replacement, debris disposal, and cleanup. B. The Contractor shall furnish and install all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals which are reasonable and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the Work, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not. C. The Contractor shall perform the Work complete, in place and ready for continuous service and shall include repairs, replacements and restoration required as a result of all damages that occur as a result of construction under this Contract. |
