Lenox Pavement Resurfacing and Related Work - Phase Two

The Town of Lenox, acting through its Department of Public Works, invites sealed bids from contractors approved by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for the Lenox Pavement Resurfacing and Related Work - Phase Two project. The work to be performed includes approximately 12,230 square yards of roadway milling and resurfacing and 6,950 square yards of full depth reclamation, including structure adjustment and 4,000 linear feet of berm replacement, along Lawton St., Catherine St., Patterson Rd., Golden Hill Rd., Elm St., School St., and Old Town Way. Only prospective bidders who are prequalified for the project by MassDOT will be entitled to bid on this project. Prospective bidders should only submit a bid that is within the limit which they are pre-qualified for by MassDOT. Bids submitted that exceed the contractor's qualified limit per MassDOT will not be accepted. The work under this contract shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws. Wages are subject to Massachusetts's minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive. All applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and rules shall be observed. The Town of Lenox reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of the Town. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and not withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the date of opening the bids.
