Modifications to Birchwood Landfill Gas Extraction System Additions

MODIFICATIONS TO BIRCHWOOD LANDFILL GAS EXTRACTION SYSTEM ADDITIONS CONTRACT NUMBER S-22-002-201 The scope of work shall consist of two separate operations including but not limited to the following: Area 2 (Closed): Construction of five new vertical gas extraction wells and wellhead installations, abandonment of five existing wells, and installation of HDPE gas, leachate and air piping from abandoned wells to new wells. Area 3 (Active): Construction of 8 new vertical extraction wells and wellhead installations, 2-, 4- 8-, and 10-inch HDPE air, leachate and gas piping and two condensate traps. All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. The City of Chattanooga is an Equal Opportunity Employer. A. The work covered by this Contract consists of furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment and products for the Modifications to the Birchwood Landfill - Gas Extraction System Additions, shown on the drawings. The work includes the following major elements: 1. Construction of 5 new vertical gas extraction wells within the closed Area 3 landfill waste footprint, including abandonment of 5 existing wells, new wellhead installations, and installation ofHDPE gas, leachate and air piping from abandoned wells to new wells. 2. Construction of 8 new vertical extraction wells within the active Area 2 landfill waste footprint, including new wellhead installations. 3. Installation of 2-, 4-, 8-, and 10-inch HDPE air, leachate and gas piping including associated 2 condensate traps, tie-ins to gas piping and cut-off valves. 4. As-built survey of pipelines and wells tied to the Tennessee State Plane coordinate system, furnished in paper and electronic format
