Description

This project will include both repair and replacement of multiple building damaged from the recent hailstorm. The specific buildings included within Phase V include the following: 1. JP/Constable Pct 3 Building a. Provide full time Project Manager (Non-Working / English Speaking) b. Remove existing roof down to deck including all flashings. c. Remove existing gutters and downspouts d. Install new underlayment over substrate and peel-n-stick at all eaves, ridge, and valley locations. e. Install new "Beveled" Drip Edge f. Install new Laminate Roof Shingle (six nails per shingle) g. Install new high-profile ridge vent h. Install new lead flashings at all stacks i. Paint all flashings j. Include in cost replacement of damaged trim (Hardy board) Paint to match 70 lf min. k. Provide new gutters and downspouts l. Provide Platinum Warranty (Shall include 45-year material and 20-year workmanship from Manufacture) m. Provide Contractors 5 - Warranty 2. Juvenile Detention Center - Portable Building a. Provide alternate for Class IV OC Hail resistant Shingle (standard asphalt) Deadline for Questions Tuesday, June 07, 2022 at 5:00 PM CST All proposers must submit, with proposal, a cashier's check or certified check for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the order of Brazos County or a Bid Bond in the same amount issued by a surety, acceptable to Brazos County, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as a guarantee that the Bidder will do the work described herein at the rates stated herein. Unsuccessful bidder's Cashier's Check or Certified Check will be returned after a written request to do so has been received by the Purchasing Agent. The successful proposer must provide to the Purchasing Department, a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total contract sum within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of notification of bid award. Such bonds shall be executed by a corporate surety duly authorized and admitted to do business in the State of Texas and licensed in the State of Texas to issue surety bonds with a Best Rating "A" or better. Brazos county reserves the right to accept or reject any surety company proposed by the bidder. In the event brazos rejects the proposed surety company the bidder will be afforded five (5) additional days to submit the required bonds issued by a surety company acceptable to brazos county.
