Description

This project includes improvements and modifications to the City's existing municipal wastewater treatment facility (WWTP). The City of Richland in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 200d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Bidders who are Minority-owned and Women-owned Business Enterprises or Section 3 Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids. The project consists of, but not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the work required. The project consists of improvements and modifications to the City existing municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) which includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the construction of alterations to the two existing aeration basins, a blower building expansion, the relocation and modifications of the two existing blowers, addition of two new blowers, new air piping to each basin, associated electrical and control systems, upgraded primary power supply, associated site work and yard piping, and other appurtenances as necessary to complete the Project.
